Chelsea Football Club has released VERY SAD NEWS on Enzo Fernandez following ‘r@cis chant’ and explain exactly what is going to happen to the Argentine international

Chelsea released a statement after Enzo Fernandez recorded himself and his Argentina teammates singing an alleged ‘racist’ song mocking the France national team.

Fernandez went live on Instagram after La Albiceleste’s Copa America final victory over Colombia on Sunday evening.

A handful of Argentina players were heard chanting a song that singles out French players who have family links in many African countries and carry a French passport.

The words to the chant read: “They play for France, but their parents are from Angola.” Their mother is from Cameroon and their father is from Nigeria. But their passport reads French.”

The France Football Federation issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon stating that president Philippe Diallo “condemns in the harshest terms the inappropriate and discriminatory insults made against the players of the French squad.”

It also stated that the FFF will submit a complaint with FIFA on the “racially insensitive and discriminatory statements.”

Fernandez, who started for Argentina in their 1-0 victory against Colombia, issued his own statement early on Wednesday morning.

“I want to sincerely apologize for a video I broadcast on my Instagram account during the national team celebrations,” he added.

“The song contains incredibly obscene language, and there is no excuse for these words. I am against all sorts of prejudice and sorry for being caught up in the excitement of our Copa America festivities.

“That video, that time, and those statements do not represent my ideas or character. “I really apologize.”

Following the event, Chelsea announced their decision to initiate an internal disciplinary action.
