“YOUR CAREER IS OVER HERE pack your things and Leave”- Manchester United Owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has instructed Erig Ten Hag to leave Manchester United with immediate effect after drawing 1:1 with 19th place Burnley
Erik ten Hag has named an identical Manchester United squad to provide stability and help players establish routines.
United have the potential to win back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since February 18 against a relegated Burnley team.
United triumphed 4-2 on midweek against Sheffield United, who are at the bottom of the standings, due to goals from Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, and Rasmus Hojlund.
Ten Hag has picked an identical lineup from that triumph, thus Christian Eriksen and Antony will continue to start in midfield and on the right flank, respectively.
Erik ten Hag talked to MUTV before of Saturday afternoon’s game against Burnley, which is another must-win for United. “It’s our third game in a week, and it’s a major test for us, this group of guys, to go up against a difficult opponent who is fighting for their final opportunity to remain in the league,” he said.
“They have a rigorous program, so they will come and examine it, so we have to confront it, combat them, and we are really looking forward to it.
“It’s one of the reasons [routines] why we chose the same starting XI; we have to introduce such routines, but we also have to consider the players’ workload.
“Scott McTominay is not fit for 90 minutes, but he can certainly play a half or 30 minutes, so we must manage the game load [of players].
“We have a bunch of young players who aren’t accustomed to playing every third day, much alone every six days, so it’ll be difficult, particularly against them, who play extremely aggressively, so as a team, we have to cope with that, go out and combat them while being compact.”
