Pep Guardiola prepares fresh £85 Million Bid for Star Midfielder after initial Bid was rejected by the club.

According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Paqueta’s contract with West Ham United includes an £85 million release clause, attracting the attention of Manchester City, who have been interested in him since last year.
Paqueta, who has been a key player for West Ham, has provided seven assists and scored eight goals in 37 appearances across various competitions. Since his arrival at West Ham in 2022, Paqueta has become an integral part of David Moyes’ squad, establishing himself as a regular starter for both his club and the Brazilian national team.
His performances have garnered interest from several top European clubs. Despite Manchester City’s recent signings, they might still pursue Paqueta by activating his release clause, as his contract runs until the end of the 2026–2027 season.
Additionally, following Manchester City’s exhausting 3-3 draw against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, Rodri expressed his fatigue and potential need for rest.
Pep Guardiola, considering Rodri’s importance to the team, hinted at the possibility of giving him a break ahead of their Premier League match against Luton Town. Guardiola emphasized the necessity of maintaining player motivation and hinted at rotating the squad to provide opportunities for other players.
Despite Rodri’s crucial role in the team, Guardiola also acknowledged the need to rest other key players, particularly center defenders, due to the demanding schedule and limited opportunities during international breaks.
Throughout the season, Rodri has been a pivotal figure for Manchester City, appearing in 41 games across various competitions and contributing 12 assists and 8 goals to the team’s success.
