Former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has announced he is returning to football in shock announcement this evening
Sir Alex Ferguson, a star at Manchester United, has joined League One team Eintracht Frankfurt for life.
Ferguson played Frankfurt in the UEFA Cup in 1979, but his team lost 2-1 overall. Ferguson was in charge of Aberdeen at the time.
Frankfurt played Aberdeen in the Europa Conference League group stage this season, and a group from the German club went to see Ferguson before Aberdeen’s 2-0 loss at Pittodrie in December.
Frankfurt stated that the famous former manager would be a lifelong member of the club.

In a talk with Frankfurt’s website, Ferguson talked about the fight he had with them when he was manager of Aberdeen.
“Frankfurt were the better team, but we saved the game [first leg] with an equaliser,” he said. “We had the chance to go to Frankfurt, but we lost 1-0 there.” In the second game, Bernd Holzenbein scored the goal that eliminated us from the race.
“When we played abroad, I learned something very important.” After the game, some players went out. I made sure that something like that would never happen again after that.
Ferguson is proud to be Scottish and used to lead the Scotland national team. He is also excited for his country to play Germany in the first game of Euro 2024 this summer.
He laughed when asked if Germany could beat Scotland and said, “No chance!”
“I’m going to watch the game live.” I need to see it. You should know that Scotland isn’t that bad. Three good midfielders and two good full backs play for them. In the last few years, there have only been problems at the striker spot.
“The Scottish fans will also be great.” In this way, I will always remember the World Cup in Italy in 1990. I was at a Scotland game during the group stage and saw a big bus coming from Glasgow. The bus’s roof had been taken off, and grills were being put on both decks. You could not get to the stadium without going around the bus. Of course they saw me and yelled, “Alex!” Come on over, we’ve set up a BBQ for you!
“The Scottish fans are great.” The kilt is what makes them and Scottish life great. There is one in every town and sports club in Scotland. It’s worn by everyone. It’s not something I’ll wear to the European Championships, but I’m excited about the event.
