FIFA has just provided the Officials and Referees of the match between Liverpool and Manchester United with some very unfortunate news, and as a result, they have lost their jobs. This is a breaking news story
The reason for Bruno Fernandes’ avoiding of a red card during the Manchester United-Liverpool match has emerged.
According to sources, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes narrowly avoided receiving a red card for a challenge on Dominik Szoboszlai during the FA Cup match.
Lee Dixon has explained why he believes Bruno Fernandes avoided a second yellow card in the Manchester United vs. Liverpool match.
Despite getting a booking earlier in the game, Fernandes avoided another yellow card for a foul on Dominik Szoboszlai in the second half.
Dixon, who provided co-commentary during the game, praised Fernandes’ stroke of luck in avoiding a yellow card but believed that it did not warrant a straight red.
He stated that such occurrences are regular on the pitch, and while VAR may investigate, it did not act in this case.
Dixon also stated that if a similar tackle occurred elsewhere on the pitch and Fernandes hadn’t already been booked, he would have surely received a yellow card.
He was confident that if such a challenge had occurred on the midway line, the referee would have issued a caution.
