“He needs to train harder in order to get a spot in the squad-Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola explains the reason behind Jack Grealish lack of playing time

Football manager Pep Guardiola praised some Manchester City players after their tough win over Everton. Jack Grealish was one of them.
Before Erling Haaland scored twice, the Blues had a rough first 70 minutes of their Premier League game at the Etihad. This was their tenth straight win in all competitions. Haaland played the whole game for City, but Guardiola was most impressed by how the replacements changed things.
In the second half, Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker both came off the bench to give the team a sense of energy that they had been missing. Bernardo Silva and Grealish also came on to make the game stronger. Guardiola was happy with the changes and called out Grealish, who hadn’t been with the team in a while.
“I love to win this type of game,” he stated. “The problem is there; we knew it and talked about it. Everton here is always tough, and we lost a lot of points.”
The body language was much better in the second half, which is something people can’t say. In the first half, we were whining, and our body language wasn’t good. When a player loses the ball, they need to work together better.
“In the second half, we read the dots better. We didn’t play well in the first half. Kyle, Kevin, Bernardo, and Jack all made great contributions, especially Jack, who kept the ball.
“Deserved it, and I like winning these kinds of games, even though I know how hard everything is.” Nothing is taken for granted; the way they enjoyed their wins shows how hard it was.
