John Terry thinks that Frank Lampard was better than Kevin De Bruyne, who is the star player for Manchester City.

It was asked of the former Chelsea manager to compare him to a number of famous midfielders, including De Bruyne, in a video with GOAL (via Twitter).

Frank Lampard famously played for Manchester City for one season. During that time, he scored 11 goals and set up six others across all categories.

There has been a lot of talk about where De Bruyne fits in with the best players in English football over the last few years, given how important he is at the Etihad Stadium.

But John Terry thinks Frank Lampard was a better player than Kevin De Bruyne when they played together for Chelsea and England.

His tweet to GOAL said, “Still Lamps for me.”

Aside from Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Mesut Ozil, Patrick Vieira, N’Golo Kante, Michael Essien, and Yaya Toure, the former centre back also chose Frank Lampard.

Even when playing defence, the triple winner works just as hard as Lampard, which makes the comparison between the two players very biassed in favour of the winner.
