“He did the same thing last two years which cost Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his job. He was supposed to be the main man but he is busy playing like a kid”-Roy Keane slams Man United star with ‘bad habit’ after FA Cup win vs Wigan
Legendary Manchester United player Roy Keane has blasted Marcus Rashford for recently developing a negative habit.Following United’s 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, Keane stated that he thought his teammate, Rahehford, should be expecting more from him.RaÕhford, who played for more than 90 minutes in the Red Devils’ victory, would set up Diogo Dalot’s opening goal but was unable to score himself.
Keane was enraged by the winger’s general incapacity to consistently threaten the Wigan goal.
Man United is playing like a League One team right now, Keane said. “Marcu [Rahford] ought to be leaving the pitch, thinking, ‘With all the opportunities, I should be scoring, or at least giving more opportunities for some of the players,'””It might seem a little harsh, but that’s because we have high expectations for him,” Keane went on. “It’s only the tiny detail; he ought to be more expressive.”Keane would also draw attention to a certain habit of Rahford’s that he felt was aiding the attacker.
It’s easier to defend because he’s developed the bad habit of throwing the ball away.
“There were some high-stakes games tonight that disappointed me, and hopefully they will have disappointed their high-stakes teammates as well, who will now say, ‘Liĕten, we expect more from you.'”The forward has only contributed nine goals to club and country this season, making him one of several attackers who have struggled for consistency since August. But recently, Rahford’s form has taken a turn for the better. In his last three games, the Englishman has given United either a goal or an assist.
After United’s triumph against Wigan, the Red Devils will now play either Eastleigh or Newport County away in the FA Cup fourth round.
