Guardiola has now said that four players will not play when Manchester City plays Sheffield United.
Pep Guardiola has now announced that four Manchester City players will not play in their Premier League game against Sheffield United on Saturday.

In his Friday morning press appearance, the 52-year-old man told the crowd the good news.

What did Pep Guardiola say at this point? Let’s look…

Per Pep Guardiola, four Manchester City players will not be playing.
The Citizens should have enough punch to beat the Blades, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League with only nine points. However, they will be without Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Kevin De Bruyne, and now John Stones.

The Manchester Evening News says Guardiola said, “Nothing changed from the last game.” We have Haaland, Doku, and De Bruyne who are all hurt, plus John Stones.

The word “injured” can be used in a broad sense for some of the group.

De Bruyne, Doku, and Haaland have already been seen back in training. They are even taking part in FIFA Club World Cup sessions in Saudi Arabia, sometimes with teammates and sometimes on their own. This means that the three players are still not match fit.

However, Stones can’t even train because he hurt his ankle on Wednesday and had to leave Goodison Park in a protection boot.

Manchester City will miss John Stones a lot when they play Sheffield United.
Guardiola would love to have De Bruyne, Haaland, and Doku back, but Stones may be the player that makes him the most sad.

The England international is the only player at Manchester City who can really play middle-field in a mixed way.

Manuel Akanji has tried to do that but has not been able to.

Stones has a unique role because he has to play as an attacking midfielder, a defensive midfielder, or a central defender based on where the ball is. His speed and calmness are very important when he is playing with Rodri.

The rest of the Premier League will be in a lot of trouble when Guardiola gets back his three talents and the Manchester City No. 5 player.
