VERY SAD Jone Stones news has been announced JUST IN on why he was substituted against EVERTON today in there Premier League Clash

After being pulled off against Everton, John Stones has suffered another concerning injury setback.

The centre defender has been working hard to get his season back on track after a hip injury delayed his start until October.

Stones was named to the starting XI to face his former team, but he was forced off after collapsing in an embarrassing tussle with attacker Beto.

The defender, who appeared to be in pain and was receiving treatment, was pushed off and replaced by Josko Gvardiol.

It’s unclear how serious the injury is, but Stones will be hoping it doesn’t have a major influence on his season.

So far this season, the 29-year-old has appeared in 13 games in all competitions.

Stones’ injury wasn’t the only setback for Pep Guardiola, as Jack Harrison scored in the first half to give Everton a 1-0 lead.

However, Phil Foden levelled the game shortly after halftime with a blistering effort.
