Premier League English club have sacked their manager tonight after embarrassing defeat yesterday night

The manager of the Championship side is dismissed subsequent to their most recent setback.

Manager Alex Neil was dismissed from his position by Championship club Stoke City subsequent to their 1-0 loss to Sheffield on Wednesday.

The Potters are in 20th place, a mere two points above the relegation zone, and have managed only six victories in 20 league matches despite a significant overhaul of 18 players that occurred this summer.
Furthermore, the loss to Sheffield on Wednesday was the deciding factor in the dismissal of Alex Neil, which took place earlier today. For the impending match against Swansea, interim manager Paul Gallagher was appointed with the assistance of former Stoke player Ryan Shawcross and Alex Morris.

Chairman John Coates conveyed appreciation for Neil’s contributions to the club while underscoring the organization’s pursuit of an innovative trajectory.

His emphasis was on the urgency of implementing changes immediately and selecting Neil’s replacement in order to guide the group towards triumph.

He stated on the organization’s website:

“Alex has exhibited remarkable integrity throughout his tenure with Stoke City, and we extend our sincere appreciation for the diligent effort he put forth on behalf of the club.

“We express our gratitude for the foundational elements he has contributed to by assembling a group of players in whom we place tremendous confidence in their capacity to effect a turnaround this season and who can contribute to our sustained prosperity.

“However, in light of the team’s performance thus far, we have been compelled to seek a new course of action at this moment.”

“The success of our club is above all else in my life, and we are currently in the process of selecting Alex’s successor.”

From 2008 to 2018, Stoke City competed in the Premier League for ten seasons under the leadership of Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes.

They were among the most difficult venues to visit during Pulis’ tenure, as his playing style consistently caused frustration for his opponents.

They have been unable to secure a promotion return to the Premier League since their relegation.
