Based on rumors he is eager on landing the Manchester United post in the future, former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has already indicated his wish to stay in the Premier League. Following their end-of- season evaluation, the Blues said on Tuesday night they had split ways with Pochettino by mutual agreement. The 52-year-old had battled to mix a plethora of fresh players together in his lone season running the team, and his club fell into mid-table. They did, however, make it to the FA Cup semi-final and the Carabao Cup final, which served as impetus for their Premier League effort. Although Arsenal suffered a severe 5-0 loss, their remaining 10 games in the division saw them just lose once. They won seven. If the Reds lose the FA Cup final on Saturday, Chelsea will end the campaign above United in sixth and would be participating in the Europa League next season. Speculation about Pochettino’s future position is growing as that game approaches. The Times claims that should Erik ten Hag be ousted this summer, Pochettino would be eager to meet with United. Men Sport knows Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not yet decided on the Dutchman’s future, hence all attention is on the FA Cup final this weekend. Pochettino’s connection with the United job after publicly declaring as recently as two weeks ago that he wanted to stay in England for as long as possible is not surprising. Turning to Instagram, he said, “A proud personal moment last night – 400 games in English football. “One of the finest decisions of my life and I want to add to this number for long time to come.” Ten Hag’s appointment in 2022 marks Pochettino as one of the United job’s frontrunners.
Former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, amidst rumors of eyeing the Manchester United managerial position in the future, has expressed his desire to remain in the Premier League. This comes after Chelsea announced their separation from Pochettino through mutual agreement following an end-of-season evaluation. During his tenure, Pochettino struggled to integrate numerous new players into the team, resulting in a mid-table…
