Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandez has been striped off the Captain batch this morning and given to this player
Bryan Robson, the former captain of Manchester United, is a supporter of Bruno Fernandes but would prefer to see Harry Maguire or Casemiro represent the Red Devils with the armband.
Robson shares that viewpoint as well, admiring the Portuguese player for his qualities as a player and a person but wanting a captain who can play deeper on the field and help guide the squad. Bruno sets an example, in my opinion.
He puts forth a lot of effort in his work. He has a terrific attitude and is a beautiful lad overall. However, Robson described him as an offensive player on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast. And I always have a bias since I believe that a center midfielder or a defender with good vision of the entire field are better candidates to be the team’s captain and leaders.
“I simply believe that someone who is highly vocal and quite forceful in the game and the tone should be in charge of organizing a team.” I saw my captain that way. Bruno is a fantastic player, and even though I adore him, I would probably choose someone else in the team to be my captain.
