FIFA has announced Harsh Ban for Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandes after being sent off the second time in a row for bad conduct and tackle
Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s captain, has been sent out for the second time in five days.
Fernandes was sent off in United’s 3-0 Premier League defeat to Tottenham on Sunday, and he has now received another red card. The United captain received a second yellow card for a high foot in the 82nd minute of their Europa League match against Porto, which ended 3-3.
The Portugal international was already on a yellow card for a high foot when he stretched his boot out in an effort to catch a cross into the area. However, Porto defender Nehuen Perez stooped to head clear before collapsing, grabbing his face.
” Bruno Fernandes is not pleased. “He has gone in high with his foot, which is hazardous,” former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson told BBC Radio 5 Live. “In Fernandes’ defense, he is staring at the ball, but doing so leaves the referee with no options.”
